Bored of hearing about gender?

Gender and gender identity are important to some people. They can even be an obsession. And for believers they lead to the claim that everyone has a gender and a gender identity. But most people just have a sex and various levels of personality. Your personality, such as your level of masculinity or femininity, does not create or affect your sex. Your sex is a feature of your body, and everyone, even people with Differences in Sex Development, falls within one of the two unchangeable sexes. If you try to ignore ‘gender’ and ‘gender identity’, and just know you are a person with various levels of personality, you might be a gender atheist.

Gender just means expectations about each of the two sexes. Gender is thus oppressive.

Sex is real. A feminine male is still a man, a masculine female is still a woman. There might be average differences in some features between the sexes, that is a scientific question, but if a male falls closer to the female average, he is still male. There is an average sex difference in height, but a 5 foot man is still a man, even if his height is closer to the female than to the male average.

There is no ‘male brain’ and ‘no female brain’, we all just have a brain in our sexed body.
